Services
I provide advice, financial planning, and asset management. I am a practitioner, not a sales person. Talking on the phone for ten or fifteen minutes is a good place to start. You can ask me about what I do, who I am, or my fees. A brief conversation could lead to a meeting or go no further; there is no obligation, fee or unwanted follow-up from me.

Getting Started, the Initial Consultation

We will spend an hour talking about you, your agenda. Nurses often ask me: How can I retire early? Is my retirement plan safe? How much should I save? Will an annuity be good for me?

At the end of our meeting, you will have a better understanding of your situation. Peace of mind is a common result.

You will also have a sense of the quality of my work, my character, and you will know if you want to work together.

I will go over your financial information together. I can send you a list of information to bring when you schedule a meeting with me.

Initial Consultation Fee

I am working hard during this meeting and I charge $100. If you need some follow-on work, we will agree on the scope and fee, upfront.

Financial Planning Services
Retirement Planning
I am often asked: When can I safely retire? Should I be saving more? What can I be doing better? Should I move from PERS2 to PERS3? How safe is my 401k? What do you think of the stock market? Should I buy an annuity?

The answers depend on your expectations, your concerns, your resources, your age, and your health. I will help you to find the choices that fit.

Education Planning
Higher education is important. What is the best way to pay for it? How much will it cost? Is the Washington GET program the best for me? How should I invest for my 14-year-old? What about my 6-year-old? What will a university consider if we apply for financial aid?

These are just some of the concerns we will work through when we create an Education Plan for you.

Investment Planning
Your real property, debt, retirement plans, stocks and bonds are parts of a custom plan that is tax-sensitive, with potential for growth, capital preservation or income. I will analyze your current holdings for different sorts of risks.
Insurance
What kind and amount of insurance, if any, do you need? I will help you to determine this. Do you need to better understand a policy that you have or are considering? I will look at life insurance, disability income, annuities, or long-term care insurance policies on your behalf.

I don't sell any kind of insurance. Unbiased and knowledgeable advice is best.

Estate Planning

Here, we address these concerns: Do I need a will? Do I need a trust? How do I take care of my spouse, my partner or loved ones? How can I avoid unnecessary taxes?

I help you organize your holdings so that they are easy to manage, generate growth and income, and tax savvy, to be used and passed along according to your wishes.

I cannot draft your will or Power of Attorney documents; you must retain an attorney to provide these services.

Comprehensive Planning
I integrate all of the individual planning services into a single package. Maybe this is best for you; I can't know until we talk. If we decide on comprehensive planning, I will provide a clear, written plan for you.
Planning Fees
If you decide to have Financial Planning, I will give you a firm price in advance. The price depends on the scope and nature that we agree upon. Fees can range from $450 up to $1,200
Qualified Plan Allocation
Use your employer-sponsored retirement plan well. This is the first, best and easiest place for you to invest for your retirement.

For your current employment plan, I will help you to choose the proper mix of mutual funds, needed to reduce risk and increase your potential for return.

Qualified Plan Allocation Fee

The fee is $125 for one time or an annual fee of $125. The allocation is specific to you and an Initial Conslatation is needed.
